Our New Tuesdays!

So...Our new Tuesday routine is to baby-sit my friend Rachel's little boy Zachary, who is home-school, while she is in class.  He gets here around 8:00 in the morning.  It is actually pretty helpful having him around to entertain the boys.  I have made Tuesday my new day to do the major cleaning.  I just feel better getting things done while the boys are still having fun with someone.   I also have to pick up Zachary's brother Tyler from school at 3:00.  They apparently have a pretty regular routine of going to McDonald's as an afternoon snack.  I of course, have no issue with going to McDonald's.  After that we headed to the park to enjoy the great weather.  And...to save my house from 4 rowdy boys!  Baby-sitting has not be difficult at all.  The only hard part is working in nap time before getting Tyler from school.  So...that is why the boys look like they just rolled out of bed.  Easton has crazy hair!  We literally got them up and strapped them in the car!
Parker is getting so big!  He can completely do the fireman's pole by himself!  Time flies!

Who would have thought?

Who would have thought that tomato soup would have been such a hit!  The boys couldn't get enough!

Tents and Bowling!

My Aunt Jennifer gave the boys each a tent, sleeping bag, and pillow for Christmas!  Let me tell you!  Words cannot express how much fun they have had playing in them!  Parker camped out in his for 3 days straight!  Thanks to Aunt Jennifer for the nice surprise!
Parker kept making silly faces every time I'd try to take a picture!

So...Then Easton started with the craziness!

Tonight, we decided that we all needed to get out of the house.  $46 later, we had a great night of bowling and a surprisingly good dinner at the new and improved Hendersonville Strike and Spare!  Bowling was actually priced well!  It is just that this pregnant gal had to have a hamburger, cheese sticks, and a sprite.  I probably spent 12 of the $28 from dinner on myself!

Cutie pie!

Here is Parker waiting to "catch" the bowling ball!  I think it was his favorite part!

We really did have a fun night!  Even though this winter has been mild, it has been very rainy.  Sometimes, you go a little stir crazy sitting inside watching the rain fall.  Plus...I think it is good to begin making a habit of "fun outings" as a family.  I want both of my boys to know that you can always have fun with family!  Bowling was worth every penny!

So...I have not been myself lately!  Barely doing any blogging, facebooking, or even checking my e-mail.  I am usually so addicted to all of those things!  I blame it on this little new baby I have! Most of it comes from the fact that I had to keep my excitement about the whole situation in for several weeks!  All I wanted to do was shout it to the world that I AM PREGNANT!  Keeping such joy a secret is so hard to do!  It was all that I wanted to blog about!  The only status update, I wanted to post!  I kept saying to myself, just wait a few more wks and you can tell your story!  Usually, I don't even wait a wk to let the world know, but this time, I had more fear.  More and more people I know have had miscarriages.  I was so carefree with my first pregnancy.  Nothing bad could happen!  Now, a little older, and more friends "trying", brings about more of a reality that sad things can happen!  So...long story short, I made it a whole 5 wks, keeping the secret from my blog and the facebook world!  We told close family and friends at Christmas time though! Now, I will be 10 weeks along on Sunday.  Still early, but Steven and I have heard and seen the little baby's heartbeat at this point, and we feel "safe" now to blog about our story".  Here it goes!

Many of you may know that it took us several years to conceive our first child, Parker.  A very frustrating time, but completely worth the wait!  With Easton, I had hoped that things would be easier and that my body would know what to do.  Two months later, we announced that I was indeed pregnant again.  So, this time, I felt pretty confident that when we wanted to have our third, and start trying in JANUARY, it would be simple.  Well, apparently my body has long gone away from the months of ovulation kits and negative pregnancy tests.  This time, it was not even one month, not even one wk, but only one rainy day to conceive this little one!  If you know me, you know that I LOVE being pregnant, and the thought of having another child consumes me.  If there is a chance that I could be pregnant, I talk about it nonstop, take an early detection pregnancy test nearly every day till mother nature makes her visit.  I did remember that rainy day and knew that it could be a possibility, but did not even think about it this time.  I do also remember thinking, "accidents don't happen to us so don't even get excited!  I made it to my expected day for mother nature and nothing happened.  Believe it or not, I made it 3 days past that.  I had a pregnancy test on hand, (I should have stock in pregnancy tests), but didn't even feel the need to take it yet!  I only decided to take it because, the day before, I ate at 9:00 and was starving at 11:00, and had a small episode of nausea that night.  So...I took the test.  I cannot express to you how much I thought it would be negative.  I took my time brushing my teeth and hair, walked over to the test and almost hyperventilated with excitement when I saw the two pink lines!  I was literally shaking and talking to myself!  Steven was at breakfast with his Dad, so I knew I couldn't call and tell him yet.  I did reveal my secret to my 2 best friends!  I had to have someone to celebrate with!  It was so much fun waiting to tell Steven till that evening after work!  He know something was up, because I was extra giggly!  I remember even tickling him in the hallway! I had Parker walk into the bonus room and hand him the test! Parker had no idea what it was, and even tried to use it like a marker for a minute while Steven and I were distracted my our new conversation.  Steven was a little surprised, but said he kinda had a feeling bc of my episode of hunger and nausea the day before.

So...needless to say, it was somewhat of a surprise, but such a blessing!  We are soooooo excited!!!  The due date is August 12th.  And even though we will be very busy parents of a 4 yr old, 2 yr old, and a baby, we cannot wait for the craziness to begin!

Our Christmas Poem!

tWas a few wks before Christmas, when all through the house...

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
There were 2 little stockings hung with care,
In hopes that st Nick, would soon be there.
Oh but wait! Should there be one more?
I just didn't feel the same as before?
So away to Walgreens I flew like a flash,
Tore open the box and to the bathroom I dashed!
When what to my wondering eyes should appear?
But 2 tiny pink lines, followed with laughter and cheer!
I whistled and shouted and called everyone by name!
In a quick moment, everyone came!
Now daddy!  Now Parker!  Now Easton as well!
I have something important that I need to tell!
A daddy and big brother again you will be.
Hurry! Hurry!  Tell all!
 Let's welcome baby #3!

The Merry Days of Christmas!

One of our favorite things to do to get ready for Christmas, is to make sugar cookies for Santa!  The boys love it as much as I do, which makes the tradition even more enjoyable!

Christmas Eve!
I had to work on Christmas Eve, but was very lucky not to have a busy day!  I had plenty of time to get ready with the family and head over to the Nashville Campus for church!  We met my Mom, Dad, and Rachel there.  The service is family friendly so the boys got to sit with us.  They always read the Christmas story and all of the kids get to go up front.  They gathered around on the steps and listened pretty well...until...Parker jumps from the 2nd step to the ground and then looks at me with a big smile and gives me a big thumbs up!  Easton lied down on the floor with his head in his hands and feet in the air the whole time!  They weren't overly crazy, but definitely didn't just sit nicely like I had hoped!  After service, we headed to Brick Tops for dinner and had a very delicious meal!  After dinner, we all opened our Christmas pjs!

Christmas Morning!

Here are just a few of the picture from Christmas morning.  We woke up around 7 and headed down to open our presents.  The boys LOVED all of their things!  It took us almost 2 hours to do it all!  Around 9, I started cooking breakfast.  My Mom, Dad, and Rachel came over to join us.  We ate a great meal, and then had Christmas with them.  Later that afternoon, we went to Steven's parent's house to have Christmas with the Ellis family!
We really did have such a fun, joyful day! And...we didn't have one single meltdown!
Here are the boys on New Year's Eve!  We were doing some little Fireworks out on our patio, but our lovely neighbor who is a police man, put an end to our fun!  It was so frustrating, because we were only doing the little tanks and small things that the kids enjoy.  Plus...let me add, that in the 3 yrs that man has lived here, we have waved over a million times with no return smile, hello, or nod!  He has never spoken one word to us, but felt compelled to speak to us on New Yrs and ruin our night!  Oh well though!  Just another reason to move to the country!

We really did have such a wonderful December!  Christmas time brings so much joy and cheer and we of course look forward to it every year!  As much fun as we had, I am glad that it is over!  Things are finally calming down!
